Great for keeping moisture out in a safe

Gave this to my dad for Father's Day along with a filing cabinet. He has had the safe for about a year now and changes his 3g silica gel bag every two months and has not had any moisture issues. Better safe than sorry, especially since they are so cheap. They're very small, less than $5, so I just add them to my order as an extra item when I can save extra bucks. I don't want to exhaust and ruin documents that I want to look good in 10 or 100 years.

Good little bags for small spaces where moisture protection is needed

I put this bag in a DandyCase along with my iPhone to take underwater photos. This can happen with this type of housing due to the temperature difference between air and water. This is a sealed case, so airflow cannot prevent it. The solution is to first insert one of these into the bottom of the case, then insert the phone and close it. I was unable to find this item in any of my regular local retail stores. (silica gel bulk packs only) So ($0.36 each) is a very good price for 3 gram desiccant packs. (ie x 10 for a pack of 10). I needed this for a small (300 cu in) fireproof to prevent condensation and associated mold etc. I use 2 at a time; and plan to replace in 9 months (if I remember).
