Don't buy this. Spend another $10-12 and get a great yo-yo

This yo-yo was really disappointing. Nobody in the house could get it to work. It hit the wooden floor once and broke into several pieces. We bought another top rated yoyo for $15 and the difference was day and night. I had to put the extra money aside because in this case it made a big difference.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Functionality

not as good as old wooden yo-yos

Plastic with metal shaft, this yo-yo slips too easily, is too heavy and doesn't lend itself to the tricks that yo-yos know and love. I was disappointed. I did a little research and found that wooden yo-yos are around $40 at Revain. There are homemade things elsewhere, but I have no idea about the quality. I'll find out. You can buy lots of these for $40!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Doubtful

One of the worst products ever

I don't leave many reviews but at this point I have to. I bought two of these and have been trying to use them for a week. They hardly work. I can get a few good turns on them and then the rope gets so tangled that they're almost useless. I thought "how bad are they" and "why not, they're only $3 each". Really don't waste your money. You will be disappointed when you use them as they are terrible. On top of that, I order two blue ones and get pink and orange. Not worth the money.

Very poorly made in yo-yo

I was glad my husband (yes you read that right!) opened this in his stocking. These yo-yos were one of our favorite things growing up, but the quality seems to have declined over the past 15 years. Mine broke within hours of opening and my husband broke within a day. The port quality string breaks and slips ridiculously easily to the point where you can't even roll the yo-yo into your hand. Not only that, but if you push it down, the cord snaps and can easily pose a safety hazard, destroying aโ€ฆ

Great yoyo for kids and adults who just want to play!

This is such a fun yo-yo! It's nothing special. It doesn't glow. It rises and falls as it should. It comes with a string in the sense that it can spin freely at the end of the string and you can "pop" it whenever you want. My kids prefer the yo-yo to pop up automatically, so all you have to do is thread the yo-yo through the loop and it pops right back up. The two sides cannot be separated or unscrewed. At least it's better in my house. The size is ideal for kids and the butterfly design helpsโ€ฆ

What's going down - Yo-Yo

This is a classic Duncan yo-yo. I wrap the thread around it, slip my finger through the loop, pull it off my fingers and watch it go down to the nadir of its spin and stay there. I try again and fight to get him back. It's not like this. I try a third time, pulling hard when it hits the ground and I almost break my glasses. I am giving it to my grandson who can start doing tricks with it right away. [I shouldn't have let my grandson use it - as long as he didn't touch it I could tell the yo-yoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Security

Inexpensive, broke in 30 minutes

Where to start.* It's impossible to unscrew one half of the yo-yo from the other to attach the rope to get caught.* That Yo-Yo is so light it doesn't "sleep" so you can do some tricks with it. * It is poorly balanced. If you throw it down there's a pretty good chance it will bounce off the center and not return to your hand. * The edges are triangular (sort of) due to the flat surface on the sides. This means it will sting a little as it returns back into your hand.* The rope is coiled, notโ€ฆ
