The filters are approximately 1/8 inch all around and will just fall out and not seal. They appear to be high quality materials, they just don't fit.

The filters we received remove the toxic odor so we are sending them back. I'm not sure if the filter material itself is the cause of the smell or the glue I see on the outer rim, but it fills the space when the unit is on.

I thought I would save money by ordering these but it wasn't worth it due to the odor emitting. It's the plastic smell that fills the room. I tested the unit without the filters and found that it does not emit any odor when the filters are removed. I'm hoping this will dissipate over time as the device is designed to eliminate odors and purify the air, not add bad smells. My husband smells too and he doesn't always notice it.

I just installed replacement filters on my Honeywell air purifier. I couldn't get branded filters at a reasonable price. I read the reviews of this brand and bought them with some apprehension as people claimed there was a horrible smell when they were installed. For the price I was willing to take the risk. Matches Honeywell 300 air filter perfectly (unlike Honeywell filters) and looks the same in quality. As others say, they stink. For me, the landing is a bit loose. At first it didn't smell, after a few weeks it's a nauseating, pungent odor that was difficult to identify at first.
