They just arrived today and the packaging was perfect, plugged in and after half an hour they were red and then green. I've read that they require an extra 48 hour charge regardless of fast early greens from an engineer reviewer, so haven't used them yet. When I received these I had other non-rechargeable batteries that I wanted to use and discard before using them to replace the non-rechargeable ones. Bad idea - if I had tried to use them when I got them - and realized they were dead and wouldn't carry any charge - I wouldn't have missed the RETURN window.
