Dutyone 5000MAh Replacement Battery IRobot Review

It would take me at least that long to know how long this battery will last. My OEM battery lasted four years. However, the OEM battery also costs $100. The OEM says the battery can last 2 to 4 years. As this is a new replacement from a Chinese manufacturer I just don't know at this point how long this battery will last. This works on my old Roomba.

This battery has not yet been rated. The first few times I started Roomba, the battery lasted over an hour. However, it begins to expire after about 45 minutes of the cleaning cycle. Then the battery will be discharged very quickly; Roomba went out of battery a few times. Considering it has a higher amp hour rating than the OEM I would expect the battery to last significantly longer.

Fits perfectly but the battery doesn't last as long as it should compared to lower rated more expensive batteries. Roomba with the best battery: Keep going back to the charging station even though the light on Roomba is red. The cheaper, higher amp battery seems to shut down very quickly when the Roomba's light goes red and the Roomba never returns to the charge bay. The cheaper battery doesn't seem to have that last little nudge. Support contacted me about the battery. Told them the same thing

Not sure about durability or battery life as I've only been using this battery for a week. If you have an old Roomba and hate the idea of paying a top collar for a factory replacement (or ever buying a cheap replacement only to have problems after a few years to have months) later) I might suggest that to you. I think I was tempted by the low price in my current Roomba 650 battery which was about 4 years old no it was still working fine I probably should have just left it alone! I do not recommend this product at all for the following reasons. 1) This item was advertised as having 5.0Wh, but it is much lighter than the original iRobot 3.0Wh battery. In order to increase the capacity by 1.67 times (= 5.0 / 3.0), the battery must not be lighter than the original 3.0Wh battery. The test also confirms that this battery does not last long.
