The two latches on both Vanon battery packs that I received do not fully retract to release the packs from my DeWalt 14.4V XRP DC983 cordless drill to solve. Unable to remove the bag from the drill bit, with the drill bit secured in a vise, I attached the Vanon bag using small pieces of wood that protected both latches and replaced the pin. Using the vise was not enough to loosen the battery. A flathead screwdriver wrenched the drill away from the battery still in the vise. The three photos…
