Not as good as it might seem.

After using Rit mostly with great success for many years I thought I should branch out and try another company. The color on the swatch came out perfectly, earthy olive. However, I dyed my clothes according to the instructions and there was literally no color change. It was a natural fabric so I figured it would definitely fit. nope Be careful. I used three packages of dye and 16 tablespoons of salt.

Pros
  • Available in different colors
Cons
  • Something different

Not very pigmented.

I wasn't convinced by this article. Painted multiple items with multiple sets of colors, and the olive green is more like a very light moss green. I made sure to follow the instructions exactly as directed. I also dyed 100% cotton. Definitely don't even recommend 100% cotton. I contacted Dylon customer service to see if they could recommend another product. Needless to say I never heard from them again. So not only would I advise against buying this item, I would advise against buying any Dylon

Pros
  • Add brightness and color to your fabric projects
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Attempting to update the color of the camouflage hunting pants

Performs well on two pairs of faded NaturalGear pants. The original color was grey, dark brown and light brown. The color brushed a light olive hue over the gray hair that was becoming too garish. The original brown tones are still visible and may have been darkened a bit as planned. Unknown color fastness. An old pair of Mossy Oak camouflage pants have no obvious shades of color, and another pair from the same brand have very few shades. Let them sit outside in the sun for about four hours…

Pros
  • Works with all natural fibers and polyester/cotton blends
Cons
  • Big and chunky
