I needed a performance muffler that sounded like a muscle car but wasn't too loud for my '65 Pontiac GTO. These mufflers sound great, no hum when cruising and a nice sound at full throttle.
I replaced the 40 series Flowmaster mufflers; Good choice, should have made it many years ago. The car became much quieter, but at the same time kept an aggressive sound. I hear the stereo while cruising, no more hum!
Installed on a modified 89' Mustang 5.0 with straight pipes. The exhaust sounds great and the interior noise is spot on. It's not too loud or too quiet. No internal rumble at cruising speed.
I had a 2002 Mustang GT with a 40 series Flowmaster, the car is quite noisy and annoying to drive. I replaced them at the muffler shop, it's much better. The car is definitely not quiet, but I no longer get headaches after driving.
I have two of these installed on the F150 79 inline six. There were two manifolds in the manifold, hence two silencers. I tried Thrush glass bags but they were too noisy and harsh for this application. The Dynomax were loud enough to hear and quiet enough not to be intrusive.
Reversible depending on fitting direction, has a deep, quiet sound and gives my 4.2 V6 a lower to medium torque. The mileage doesn't change at all. There's a lot less carbon in my exhaust, which means my engine runs cleaner. My idle is smoother.
