This is very important and I wouldn't buy it if I knew about it. You can't turn the heating on from the app, nor can you use Alexa or anything else to turn it on. This is due to US safety regulations for heaters. I don't know of any way around this as it requires your location services on your phone during setup. Of course, Dyson wouldn't advertise it.
