Bought to upgrade our old fanless Raspberry Pi 3 Tower Shipped immediately. Now we are waiting for the arrival of our first Raspberry Pi 4b 8GB. This will be a student project. Build from a cookbook, deploy software like MPI, and connect to the campus network. Students then carry out parallel processing projects. Buy when available.

Nice case with lots of storage space. Save space on your desktop. I recommend putting small pads on your feet to reduce vibration. The included fans are not good and should probably be replaced with better ones. In my case, less than a month later, two of them started making a very annoying noise. The fan is not that easy to replace, you have to disassemble most of the case to remove it.

Easy assembly. The set I received was mislabeled. I mixed up the screws for the fan with the screws for the IP. Eventually one of the acrylics broke before I realized the mistake. The nuts go into the fan. But the way it's set up, I could get the fan to blow onto the top of the board. If you build it exactly like the product photo, the bottom Pi doesn't get a fan, and the top fan just blows air from the top.

This case will definitely improve the look of a battered Raspberry Pi cluster. I used three of the four tiers to power two Raspberry Pi 3B boards for a small DNS ad blocker cluster. For strategic reasons, I left the bottom compartment empty to put a small switch and I'm very happy with the result. I cranked the fans up a bit but noticed that the screws holding the board to the acrylic came loose on their own. Since the boards run cool, I just left them unplugged.

Assembly was easy. Fans work well. I had two full-size Pi4s with large heatsinks, one on top and one below the board. I could still use the top heatsink. I simply used screws attaching the bottom heatsink to the top heatsink via one of the baseplates that came with this kit. Recommended to add to seller - one review had some concerns about loose screws which, like metal, can damage electronics. I had nylon screws that I used instead. If they come loose, it won't damage the electronics.

This device is not particularly reliable. After just a month, one of my fans started making an awful noise. I turned it off but now one of the boards in the middle is getting a little warm. To replace the fan I need to buy a replacement and then do some wiring to fit the custom cables required. Also, I have to power down the cluster completely to disassemble it and get to the center fan. For many users, the additional downtime doesn't matter much. However, if you're trying to optimize board…
