The dirt on the chain is picked up very poorly.

Oil is easy to apply but the reality is that within a week my chain and cogs were so caked with oil and dirt that I had to steam clean all the cogs, chain and bike to get it off .

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Worth a try in sport

Haven't tried it yet, will update later in the day if I try it but so far it looks like oil as you would expect and well packaged without Leaks @ everyone saw another one and several reviews leaked so I chose this one for mountain bike chains hope it works well

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

The best way to attract dirt is to do sports

Have been using this chain lube for over 6 months. I will never buy it again. My chain was very dirty. This oil attracts a lot of dirt, if you clean and lubricate the chain it will get dirty within a day. I thought this was normal until I switched to another popular lube. I do not recommend this product. Even if he is "eco", he does not do his job well.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Contact seller

Good lube but the amount in the jar was way less than advertised!

Lubricates my gearbox. The brush applicator has a vintage charm. However, upon receipt, the bank was half empty. What disappointed. I measured the amount of lube in the can and it was over an ounce less than the advertised amount. I would suggest this is a case of poor quality control and not consumer fraud, but worth noting.

Great lube from a great source, used for a great cause.

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I like the built in applicator and the viscosity is great. And it's biodegradable. What's not to like about it? A friend and I collect used bikes for kids of all ages and repair them to donate to people who can't afford them. I love that we use biodegradable fat from a small, one-stop shop.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Best chain lube (assuming you're not a sheep)

This is by far the best chain lube I've ever used. I ride almost every day as part of my commute and longer weekend training/leisure trips. Each application is very long and very smooth. It survived the last winter rains well. Now the whole family uses it. There was some spillage so you'll need to re-order or it would have taken a very long time apparently. I love that it's non-petroleum based and biodegradable. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works very well good for sport

My chain was dry and making a lot of noise when pedaling. I would normally go to the local bike shop for service, but have now distanced myself due to COVID-19. I checked the chain to see if it rubs on the derailleur. Had not. I opened a can of this lanolin lube which required some muscle and put some lube on the chain. It worked great, drowning out the chain noise and making shifting smooth again. I made the trip late at night feeling good about the chain care and knowing I was using a natural

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Volume

Leaves transmission clean

I love this lube and now use it on all household items I've had in the past when I've used WD-40 or 3-in-1 oil. This product really cleans while it lubricates. I apply it liberally, but I wipe the chain dry, go for a ride, and when I get home I wipe down the chain and other drivetrain components and everything is shiny and clean for several subsequent rides. I have mainly ridden in dry conditions since purchase so cannot confirm its performance in the wet. The fact that it's completely oil-free

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Aside from the muscles to open the jar, it was very easy.

As a 4 mile road rider, it was important to me to have a lube that was light and easy to apply without getting my hands dirty, and also as a fruit-and-nut, I wanted something good for the environment. The directions are short. Clean chain. I cleaned the chain (using an eco-friendly cleaner of course) and then let it dry. I haven't seen such a shiny chain or sprocket since I bought the bike. Next apply lubricant. Since I have internal derailleurs I decided to get the cogs wet as much as possible

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are some nuances
