Budget price = budget performance

The product is functional but doesn't work as well as I had hoped.I installed it in my garage to have the lights turn on automatically when I walk in the door or pull my car into the garage. When I enter the room myself, it detects the motion and works quite well.but it *doesn't* detect the motion of the garage door opening or a car entering the garage. It doesn't detect motion until I open the car door and step out of the car. (Which is on the opposite side of the car from where the switch…

Pros
  • Wall Switches
Cons
  • Not suitable for outdoor use

good solution for a 3way system

I bought one of these to use with a Lutron sensor in a 3 way system. The wiring for this has a neutral and the Lutron did not so the wiring wasn't straight forward. Bought a second so I could detect movement coming into the stairway from the top and the bottom. For 3way you essentially wire everything in parallel and cap the blue. The one at the base of my stairs was still detecting movement in my room even at the lowest sensitivity. I ended up blocking half the sensor with tape to prevent…

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • May require extra wiring and electrical work to install

Using a secondary switch

For those of you struggling getting the two switches to work, here's a picture of the two of them set up. One has to be in auxiliary so it's not completely plugged in and another one's a primary. The instructions are on point but I can see how people can get confused based on the wiring in your house. Hopefully this helps someone out there.

Pros
  • Reduces your energy bill and saves you money in the long run
Cons
  • May not work well with certain types of light bulbs

Not great instructions but great product

The instructions made it look like you had to have another light switch to connect to this one. But luckily we figured out how to wire it without the instructions.

Pros
  • Perfect for individuals with mobility issues as it eliminates the need to reach for light switches
Cons
  • Can be triggered by background movement, such as ceiling fans or passing cars

Great switch works as it says

This wired up to my 3-way stairway switch just perfectly. Those having trouble I suspect just aren’t wiring it correctly. Pro tip: to keep the light switch from triggering across all 180 degrees that it "sees” simply apply transparent scotch tape to the part you want to block. In my case, this allows me to keep the stair light from going on when walking past the open stairway. Works like a charm. I was afraid at this low price the switch would be cheap but it seems every bit as solid as more…

Pros
  • Suitable for residential, commercial and industrial use
Cons
  • Can be a source of frustration if not properly calibrated

The switch was pretty straightforward, and I've installed a lot of light switches. Because of the wiring in my home, I had to improvise a bit, so it took me awhile to get it to work properly however, the major issue that I have is that it appears to have only two settings for how long it will stay on after it no longer detects motion: 3 nanoseconds or a fortnight. The switch has three dials with which you can make adjustments to its sensitivity, and how long it's supposed to stay on after motion

Pros
  • Saves energy by automatically turning off lights when no one is in the room
Cons
  • May require frequent battery replacements

shoddy construction

i have installed more than 10 PIR 2 way switches from another brand. need this since it's the first one i find that does 3 wayall pir (dumb ie no alexa, siri etc) switches appear to come from the same manufacturer or at least very similar design. this one has the same feel and look as .electrix brand. plastic housing attached to metal bracket with screw holes for attaching to the box holes. other brands are more solid in that plastic housing stays attached to metal brackets. this 3 way unit…

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of accidental fires caused by leaving lights on
Cons
  • May cause interference with other wireless devices in the home
