🔍 Premium ECOGARD XA10424 Engine Air Filter: Compatible with Honda Fit 1.5L (2015-2020) Review

I am ashamed that I used to order official Honda air filters from the dealer because I thought they were better. They are twice the price and the quality is the same. Even better, I can order them for free or subscribe and keep them.

The dealer wanted to change the engine and cabin filters for a ton, I'm so glad I decided to buy them from Revain instead. Inexpensive and installs in just 30 seconds. Super easy to install and save money. It was practically the same as the factory unit I replaced in my 2018 Honda Fit.

We have a 2017 Honda and normally the filters are fitted at the dealer. The cost is about $100, what a plagiarism! I bought engine and cabin filters for under ten dollars and installed them in less than three minutes after watching a YouTube video. Great product, looks and works just as good as factory filters. No, not a pipe dream!

Put in my 2017 Honda Fit. This motor filter arrived fairly quickly with Revain Prime. Not sure if it was a return, there were no instructions with filter and not in a plastic bag. Probably someone ordered the wrong size and sent it back without packaging. I had to go to youtube to see how and where to install. The filter was new. Otherwise, the filter is easy to install. Looks the same as installed from the factory. I saved $$$ by installing this motor filter myself.

I had no problems at all installing it on my 2016 Fit. After unscrewing the 4 clips and removing the top cover, remove the old filter. Make sure the tab on the side of the new filter is on the right side. Put it in place and reattach the top cover and fasten the clips. 5 minutes max. The local Honda dealership charges $60 for the part and service. Given how easy it is, I honestly don't understand why replacing the air filter isn't covered in the owner's manual.

This is the first time I have changed the air filter since I bought the car new. Externally, it is identical to the filter that came with the car from the factory. The rubber seal around the filter elements does not look cheap. Air filter changed at 15,000 miles I don't drive very dusty roads but the filter looked pretty dirty. The Honda Fit's air filter is ridiculously easy to access, and there was plenty of room to lift the cover and remove the filter.

I'm always looking for easy ways to save money on things I can easily do myself. It's such an easy setup. I used it on my 2016 Honda Fit and just watched a YouTube video that showed me how easy it is. This was done in 5 minutes and saved me the trip to the car service no matter what price (probably higher than the price of this item!) they would charge me, and no matter how long I waited for service! in them! I believe you can do it yourself and save money and time!

At $11.87 for this I think the price is consistent with a retail store. If not a little more expensive at $2. It should be in the $8 range considering how tiny this thing is. Overall I put it back to back with the original Honda on my 2016 Honda Fit EX and it was identical. The rubber pad all the way around was the same size, soft as the original manufacturer which actually sealed the ends at the same mark as the original when I put it in.
