The base is quite large and doesn't quite match the acrylic lamps I've had. Did one of the bases work fine while the other was frozen on one color? It didn't turn off or change color with the base button or the remote, so it was pretty much useless as I literally had to unplug it to turn it off.

I received this and BOY it was a mistake. They sound SUPER empty and HUGE. When I tried one of my acrylic coasters, one of them scratched! Extra deep caliber. The remotes don't work unless you put them right next to him. Why do you need a remote control in that case?!?
