Great for what I needed.

When painting the calipers on my new car, some of the epoxy paint got into some of the threads. Epoxy paint is tough stuff and just starting the bolts took a lot of effort meaning the bolts could not be properly torqued. A wire brush didn't even "dent" he paint. So I needed either a thread chaser or tap. Believing in go big or go home, I opted for this tap and extreme care to not let it remove metal.Obviously, I can't say anything about how well it would hold up to repeated use.

Perfect tool for the job.

Very well made, with proper care should last for many years. I used it to repair messed up threads in one rotor of my Mini Cooper S.

Not marked in any way

It might be OK and work OK. I only need it for a few light thread chasings. Haven't used it yet. But one obvious issue that I already have is that the tap is not marked in any way. It has no stamping or laser etching or even a package that says 12mmx1.75 on it. Now I have to come up with a way to do it myself. No way I am just tossing it in my tool box to have the size lost forever. Again, its not marked at all. But why wasn't it marked at the factory? Well because you get what you pay for I…

Very effective - my new review

Used this to chase rusted frame threads for a 2015 RDX trailer hitch. With some anti-seize and 10 minutes of work, I was done. Excellent result.

Got the Job Done! on my review.

I usually buy American-made taps and dies, but I needed this quick to get me out of a bind, and it did a great job on my project. I don't know how durable it is over the long term, but I'm happy about the price and quick service.
