🐠 Enhanced Eheim AEH1262310 Aquarium Water Pump Review

I used this pump in my 70g saltwater tank for a few months, then upgraded and put this pump in my 55g drum to mix new saltwater. Lots of power and quiet operation.

I've been using this water pump in my aquarium tank for the past few months and it works great! It is very quiet, but not as quiet as an external filter. I will hear a slight vibration noise so I put a piece of styrofoam under the pump and the vibration noise has been reduced.

This is an amazing pump, much better than the Rio I had to return. The pump is much quieter so I can actually hear the TV. The only downside is that it consumes a lot of energy, which generates a good amount of heat. I would take something stronger so it doesn't get warmer.

Use this pump in exchange for my 90g riff and it's nice! The only problem I had was finding the transition from the metric fittings to my rear bulkhead. I also used a clear hose on the mounting plate to eliminate vibration in the sump.

outlet side making it difficult to connect to my system. I ended up ordering a 5/8" Eheim hose and am hoping to get the job done. If it's as reliable as 1262, I'll be happy to do my best to get the install working.

I installed this pump as an internal return pump that will return saltwater from the sump at a standard weight of 90g and a head of about 5 feet. So far I haven't had any problems with it and it has worked great. I have a ball valve after the pump and use it with a limit of about 50% because it's very strong. I soak the vinegar about every 3 months and clean the filter a month or two to get rid of the crap it sucks up.

Eheim makes an excellent pump, what can I say. I have two of these mainly because of reviews like mine. It works around the clock for several months, pumping 150 gallons of solutions filled with 1200 pounds of salt in solution. Not an easy task, even for the larger 3/4 hp I use. There was not a single problem in continuous use. Had to wait to check it out as I wasn't sure if it could handle the 1.30X special saline. It's practically silent.
