Elago Upgraded AirPods Dust Guard (Matte Rose Gold Review

First time buying this item, still holding up. I recently bought AirPods for my mom (birthday gift 🎁) and they broke after a few days. I'm so disappointed because it didn't even come with two earbuds like the AirPod Pro. It really hurts me that her sheets are torn.

Looks cool! I didn't have a problem with dust, I noticed. I only bought it for the aesthetics. I promise you can't successfully install it until you watch the short video. I checked it out and it was a breeze. I can see how making FUBAR can be very easy if you don't pick it up first. You look great! PS I don't get kickbacks for my reviews. I found it pretty easy to install. I watched a video on how to do it but it says you can level the floor. I found this a little tricky as they are magnetic. I ended up installing it the same as the one above. I turned it sticky side, lined it up with the lid and closed it. I'll see how they keep up with the times over time. Apparently it doesn't bother keeping the lid closed as stated by some other reviews.

After reading the instructions, reading the reviews and watching the video on how to use this product, I realized I need to be patient and take my time. However. This dust cover was the most difficult accessory I have ever attached to a device! Due to the thinness of the protector, it was very difficult to pull it out of the plastic and it broke into several pieces before I could attach it to the case. These little guards are not easy to install, magnets make them difficult to align. When I thought I had them ok I put my pods in a case and they got scratched. I'm very glad I immediately noticed that a tiny piece of the cover was showing around the edge and this caused a small scratch, but I can see how this can cause serious damage over time. I'll continue to clean the case regularly to avoid dust and dirt buildup, but it's not worth it no matter how nice they look.

Functionality: My airpods are brand new so I haven't had any dirt yet but I got them as a precaution so I hope they do the job A: I've had ZERO issues. My strategy was to take the top half, turn it upside down, place the sticky side up on the bottom half, and close the lid. Perfectly aligned with no problems. Repeat in reverse order for the base.
