Great feature if you don't use both water bottles.

Good idea. Works well. The only complaint is that it has a constriction like a regular water bottle so the cage can hold it in place. The neck makes it difficult to store instruments and tubing. As it is not used as a water bottle it can be asymmetrical and have a notch on one side without tapering all the way around making it much more functional which would merit 6 stars.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Best Bike Repair Tool/Container Period

You can use a water bottle but it is much better designed and doesn't have the narrow neck that many water bottles have. Makes packing and accessing contents a lot easier, and there's a separate inner cup for small parts or things you want to protect and find easily. Much better than a saddle bag because the weight of the bike is lighter and it doesn't increase drag. If you don't need to carry two water bottles (i.e. your rides are less than 1.5 hours or you have the option to refill your main…

Works exactly as advertised

Previously I used a regular family tool bag that mounts in the triangle (next to the seat tube). I think I rummaged through a bag or two before finally realizing and getting this. Holds a water bottle cage (which is a pretty big minus for long trips) but I was able to get around this by purchasing base water bottle cage mounts. Tires. You can also stick in some tire wrenches (to pry off the old tire and put on the new one). If I wear Easton shoes I can EASILY get a spare tube in there, as well…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Bought this because I needed something that would go with everything I need. I train and ride 70.3 and 140.6 so here's what I wear and this bottle is perfect ( Two 700x23c butyl tubes with valve extenders for Flo 60/90 bikes, two CO2, 1 adapter, photocopy of driver's license, mini USAT card, some cash, a tire changer and some latex gloves. The small divider comes in handy, to keep the money in I strapped the Profile Design Kage zip to the back of my seat I wanted to stow something behind me…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Ideal for storing repair kits, tools, cameras, etc.

I've never liked these saddlebags. The bike gets ugly, it takes a while to switch from one bike to another (unless you have a saddlebag + tool kit for each bike - I have 2 road bikes + 1 triathlon bike) and velcro will always find a way, your shorts to ruin / bib. So I tried this storage bottle and couldn't be happier. It's very easy to mount everything you need on the go and very quick to switch from one bike to another. Ideal for weekdays and/or short trips. I have many things in mine (hoses,

Easy storage solution

Carrying essential bike tools and, in my case, a first aid kit in a bottle cage is a good solution when you don't have room for your pannier on the seat post. I only use my bike for commuting and don't need any road maintenance equipment. However, I need first aid kit if I fall or get injured. Look, I'm in my 60's and injury is always a possibility. I have a bike repair kit with several tools, tire levers, pipe patches, band-aids, and emergency contact information. This bottle storage system…

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as bulky as others
