I bought them to use in a Halloween costume and ended up sewing them on after they didn't stay secure when ironed. However, I wore them on my sleeve; It's possible that if they're on the flatter part of a shirt or backpack, they'll stay fine with just an iron.

The letters are gold. The picture on the web is very deceptive. This shows that there is a white embroidered border around the gold portion of the letters when it is actually thick white fabric that you will sew onto your piece. Buyer warning! if you are looking for something more unusual quality.

The letters look exactly like the picture but I advise everyone to pay more attention to the number of letters you get for this price. I expected at least 3 of each email but was disappointed when I only received one of each email. The description only mentions 26 letters, so I advise you to monitor the number carefully.

Love these letters! Bought two packs as there is only one letter in each pack. I sewed them on because I plan to use them year after year and want them to last. Easy to sew, the iron app keeps it in place while you sew, but I still recommend sewing if you plan on using it long term. Good size and the gold color is nice and bright.
