I've wanted to learn embroidery for a long time. This set was recommended to me and I'm very glad I used it. It has everything I need to try my hand at embroidery. It wasn't hard to learn and now I'm confident in my next design.

This set contains cross stitch needles, no embroidery needles. This is important because cross stitch needles are blunt and not designed to go through fabric. They have to go through small holes in the cross stitch fabric. I was SUCCESSFUL threading these needles through the loose fabric that came with the kit, but even that was difficult. You definitely won't walk through ordinary fabric. It should not be sold as a beginner embroidery kit unless it even comes with embroidery needles.

So many of these sets are very similar but I'm so glad I kept comparing them and reading the reviews and finally settled on this one! There are actually over 100 different yarn colors, I've only had a few that were doubles (but that didn't bother me). He had everything he said and everything was in top form.
