Ideal for beginners

I was looking for something to calm my anxious hands and a colleague recommended cross stitch. These starter kits are really perfect. They have everything you need except a tire and the material is stiff enough to go without. The printed template makes it easy to know which thread goes where, no counting needed! The included instructions are a bit iffy, it looks like there may have been a translation issue. I was able to fill in the confusing parts with Google and finally got the hang of it. If

Worst sentence ever!

I bought this because it was easy enough for a very young beginner. The first thing that struck me was the incredibly stiff fabric. He hardly bends. In fact, I don't think it will lay flat in the tire. The second problem is that when you print, the title and color bar will show when the image is in the included frame. The mesh is also visible, while the picture on the box does not indicate there is a mesh. The frame has no backing except for two thin cardboard circles. The instructions don't…

Great for Beginners - Floss/Instructions Missing

I've never done cross stitch/sewing/anything remotely involved with needles and thread and this was a fantastic place to start. The amount of thread wasn't quite right (or did I just get it wrong? Quite possibly!), but it was easy to substitute/get some more from the craft store. I couldn't figure it out from the instructions alone, but watched a short YouTube video and was ready to go.
