I ordered this set of six timers. Five of them were accurate within 30 seconds. However, the two-minute timer didn't work - the sand couldn't run through the center of the hourglass. I ordered a second set with more or less the same result. The two minute timer either didn't work or it took more than 3 minutes.

They worked fine for a short time but almost all broke after short falls (think my 4 year old daughter who fell from her waist). We've used them for homeschooling and sleeping, but they all broke within a few weeks. Disappointed and feels like a waste of money. Even the 30 minutes never worked. The sand flowed so slowly that he managed to do 25% and just stopped.

I use these timers at the gym e.g. B. Sets of weights every three minutes or jumping rope for 10 minutes. Timer app on my phone but it's distracting: I see the text and immediately answer or call. Next thing I know I have to go and I haven't done my training. These hourglass timers only do one thing: keep you on schedule without distractions.

They are very good at helping preschoolers with timing. We use them for timeouts and also to perform specific actions. They are also very good for quelling the endless questions about how long it will be before dad gets home. My only complaint is that the minute timer (internal) broke after falling just a few feet and is no longer usable. But otherwise they are great!

These things were great for our son. He loves to see when the timer is up for a task we are working on and as soon as he runs out of sand he is ready to go or stop what he is doing etc. It has been a great addition to our daily affairs . They have plastic around the glass hourglass and are larger than others I've seen. We are very happy with them! I think they would be a great gift idea for families with young children.

Ideal for preventing babies from tantrums. These are powerful and great visual aids for kids to move from one activity to the next. We use them throughout the day: preparing to leave the house, starting a nightly routine, rest periods, etc. They were great for the first few months of potty training too. SMALL version looked good out of the box but quickly became a difficult return. Sand in the red three-minute timer, which is most useful in meetings, does not flow and is useless. My guess is that the grit is wrong which is causing the sand to clog. The sand in the green 2 minute timer leaked intermittently and had moisture inside so the sand stuck to the inner glass and likely caused a new clog. I'll look elsewhere for working timers.
