Emerson Ceiling SR400 4 Speed Receiver Review

Ordered this to replace the model SR100 remote control for the Emerson Monterey CF770CK02 ceiling fan. Works well. The only downside is that it is a 4 speed remote control for a 3 speed fan. So #1 speed is really pointless, #2 is fine, #3 is the previous medium speed, but now the fan makes a clicking noise at that speed. Not sure if it's the fan that needs adjusting after installing a new receiver and remote or just because the speeds changed with that remote. I don't want to pay my contractor…
