Initial Review: This thing, either USB 3 or USB-C, only reads/writes at 40Mbps. slllooowwww I ended up contacting Syba tech support and they suggested replacing the drive. However, even plugging a new drive into my computer resulted in a 40/40 read/write speed. It seemed awfully slow. I replaced the included USB-C to USB cable with the USB-C to USB 3.0 cable, still slow speeds and my machines (new iMac, Xeon desktop) still showed it as USB 2.0 device. I ended up buying a Revain Thunderbolt 3…

Pros
  • Designed with an ABS shell and an aluminum heatsink on top, the M.2 SATA 2-slot enclosure protects your data wherever you go.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Works well but build is terrible

The device works as expected. Disassembly and installation of hard drives is bad. It's like a snap model from the 1970s. No tools required but not very intuitive. Also, the RAID settings are switches on the outside (as is the reset switch). In my opinion it is very easy to accidentally change.

Pros
  • USB Type C Gen 2 10 gaps Transfer rates and UASP are supported by this SSD enclosure for USB A Gen 2 or USB Type C 3 computers. 1 Gen 2; Computer with USB-A, USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 compatible with cables included
Cons
  • Senior Citizen

USB3.2 Gen2 for HDD Enclosure

Here's the deal. If you have two identical SATA M.2 drives, use this one for RAID 0. I've attached my result with two M1100 512GB. The included cable is just as good for USB3 full speed support. 2 generation 2

Pros
  • Dual M2 USB-C Enclosure is compatible with M.2 SATA b key or B+M key up to 80mm. High-speed storage solution in an M2 RAID enclosure compatible with Windows and Mac computers.
Cons
  • Very expensive
