Description of 💻 ACASIS USB4.0 M.2 Thunderbolt 3 NVMe Dock: Portable Type-C SSD Reader & Tool-Free Enclosure at 40Gbps

【Fast Transmission Speed】Thunderbolt 3 interface, theoretical transmission speed 40Gbps, compatible with USB interface. The speed also depends on the computer and the SSD model you use, If your SSD does not support NVME protocol, the speed will not exceed 600M/S,therefore, if your transmission speed is not fast enough, please carefully check whether your SSD supports M.2 NVME protocol.Note that due to Apple M1 itself, the speed is only about 1000M/S. 【Quick Installation and Easy Use】The SSD is directly locked with silicone without screws. Special thunderbolt 3 C-to-C data cable can be used when connected. Compatible with Windows / Mac and other cross platform operating systems. 【Excellent Heat Dissipation】The aluminum alloy shell is attached with two 0.5mm and two 1mm heat dissipation gaskets. According to the thickness of SSD, it can be used as a single or two components in the range of 0.5-1.5mm to rapidly heat and protect SSD. 【Apply to 22 * 80 M.2】Support M-key and B+M key interface NVME PCI-E protocol size 22 * 80 M.2 NVME SSD enclosure. B-key interface is not supported. Note: WD black SN750 1TB is not fully supported, and the reading speed can be reduced to 10Gbps. Will not work and overheat despite heavy use Samsung NVME 2TB

No tools or parts to lose. Has not yet overheated despite 1 month of heavy use 7/24. Other versions overheated. It has better heat transfer pads and an overall larger finned aluminum case. Very fast USB 4, works as fast as the built-in SSD. I will buy more. I haven't tested on a very hot, very fast 8TB yet. I will buy another case when I get very hot NVME m.2 disk sticks.

ACASIS USB4.0 Mobile M.2 Nvme Enclosure Great product

ACASIS USB4.0 Mobile M.2 Nvme Enclosure - great product! I first tried this SSD enclosure with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB SSD and unfortunately for unknown reasons no good write performance when connected to Thunderbolt 3. Read performance was good but write speed on my MacBook Pro 16 was only around 1100MB/ s. I then tried the SSD enclosure with a Western Digital Black SN750 2TB SSD and got about the same results. I then tried the SSD enclosure with a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD and got much…

I don't know if the board works at all because I can't install NVMe to test it. The reason is that it arrived without PEM nut for assembly and NVMe. It looks like it was part of a batch that went into production but didn't pass quality checks in the process. The build quality irritates me. Now I have to spend more time and money ordering a PEM nut to make it work. I shouldn't have done that. I have contacted the seller. They gave me $10 for my troubles, but I still had to fix the problem myself

AMAZING speed on Macintosh M1 Mac Mini (2384.4MB/s READ, 1645.3MB/s WRITE) WD750 1TB nvme This "ACASIS update" is AMAZING! The new rubber bushing seems ok and will hopefully hold its shape over the years and heat, but a second spare part was included. and I only used the thicker one, the extra other made it too tight (I think). Attached is a reference photo of an old version of Intel's free AJA set to a test file size of 16 gigabytes and a maximum simulated video frame size. It shows 2384.4MB/s

Conforms to specifications and hype!

As you can see from the product description, the device has been "upgraded". Instead of a screw, you now have a rubber grommet to hold the NVMe drive in place. The included instructions still have the picture of the screws and screwdriver that were included earlier. I would have preferred a screw to attach the disc, but the rubber grommet seems to work fine. My case sits in one spot on my desk so my device barely moves to potentially damage the drive. But with the thermal pad installed and…

Fastest USB4/Thunderbolt 3 Enclosure for M1 Mac Mini

In the last 2 weeks I have been writing reviews of external M.2 NVME enclosures as well as M.2 2280 NVME SSDs that come with M1 Macs will work. There is a problem with SSDs not being able to reach their maximum speed or just not working with Apple M1 Mac hardware or macOS software. Also, the speeds of different Thunderbolt 3 enclosures vary. After trying multiple cases and SSDs, I finally found the best combination for the M1 Mac Mini. An Acasis USB4/Thunderbolt 3 case with an Intel 7440 chip…
