A good motion-activated bright LED light for less than $50

To be clear, Torchstar provided me with a Bronze 20W Dual-Head Motion Activated LED Outdoor Security Light at no cost for evaluation. If you've read my reviews, I call it as I see it.Windward Hawaii devours anything left outdoors with constant salty wind & rain. I have 6 motion-activated lights around the house. Poorly designed security lights reveal themselves quickly by triggering frequently for no apparent reason.Every motion-activated light will false-trigger. The good ones don't do it very

Pros
  • Enhancing curb appeal with sleek and modern design
Cons
  • Continuous use on the highest setting could significantly increase electricity bills

Good motion detection light

The light is nice and bright has a lot of adjustment for where the light is needed and time needed. Easy to install. Simple three wires. White, black, and multicolor. White to white, black to black and multi to green. Plus came with connectors and proper screws. Once done secure to base plate then done. Any diy person will take less then 20 minutes. Any others might take close to an hour tops. Now my drawback. The dials aren’t per say timed just a twist to get min/max an estimate at best.

Pros
  • Illuminating dark corners and pathways for added safety
Cons
  • The lights have a slow response time, which can fail to illuminate adequately critical events

Works good for my opinion

This is the best motion detection light I've ever had! It's bright works well and also you don't have to shut the light switch off ever it detects light and doesn't work during the day!

Pros
  • Remote control operated for convenience
Cons
  • May trigger accidentally due to harmless movements, such as animals

Looks Good, Works Perfectly

Only had a few weeks but the lights (I got 3) look nice and work perfectly. They were easy to install and adjust for brightness, timing, and range.

Pros
  • I will admit I was skeptical but this is the best motion light I have ever purchased.
Cons
  • May require additional wiring, which may not be cost-effective

A very effective security light that is easy to install

I purchased 4 of these Dual Head Motion Activated LED Outdoor LeonLite units to enhance the effectiveness of a recently installed video surveillance system. Mounting the units and connecting the wiring was fairly easy on both brick and vinyl siding surfaces. Adjusting the motion sensitivity and on-time duration require careful reading of the instructions that come with the unit. After the initial adjustment, I fine-tuned each of the units over the next several days. I am very pleased that the…

Pros
  • Added peace of mind for homeowners when away from home
Cons
  • The battery backup could malfunction and cut off power supply entirely

Nice piece for the money

What I love about this light fixture most is that it opearates with three functions.Manual with off and on option, dawn to dusk or sensor.I purchased 3. They work like a clock.Excellent items! I plan to purchase it for my rental property too.

Pros
  • Motion sensor activated to alert homeowners to potential intruders
Cons
  • Not as durable, long-lasting, and cost-efficient as solar-powered outdoor lights

Brightly bright light

I love these lights I’m so glad that I bought two of them. I’m going to purchase one or two more for my rentals I’d like that when there is no motion it shuts down plus the options to change the settings not to mention the positioning of the lights in different directions this product I would recommend to anyone with dark zones in their yard.

Pros
  • Protecting the safety of family and pets from potential intruders
Cons
  • Some will not appreciate the added energy costs in comparison with non-powered fixtures

Lasted five years and 20 days, then it died

This worked great for exactly five years and 20 days. Then, last night the motion detector died. The warranty is for five years. Missed it by 20 days.I'll grant you that five years isn't a total waste, but I've had fixtures like this that lasted 12+ years. I'll have to go with another brand for replacement.

Pros
  • Long-lasting LED bulbs require less maintenance and replacement
Cons
  • Can get too hot when continuously used
