Excellent fit and accuracy.

They fit just right on my standard 2" bar, and they are highly accurate. And they come with a little bag in case you want to carry them around, which I don't.I weighed each one on a kitchen scale that reads out down to 0.001 pounds. The average error for all 8 plates was less than 1/2 percent ( 0.46%).The largest error was on one of the quarter-pound weights, and was 1.6%.That amounts to 6 one-hundredths of an ounce, or 1.8 grams. You could get more than that much imbalance by having a fan blowing…

Pros
  • Enhances overall fitness levels
Cons
  • May require additional assistance for longer workout sessions

Great fractional weights

Bought for elbow rehab as I don’t think I need to add 1/4 pound to a deadlift or bench. Still - cool to have incase I ever want to bench "one more pound” :)

Pros
  • Set includes all fractional plates necessary for progressive lifting
Cons
  • May be too cumbersome to carry to and from the gym

Breaking it down like a fraction!

These little weights are awesome. My husband and I are doing the 5x5 together and he is much stronger than I am. He wanted to progress faster than I could. So we compromised and we are going up a half a pound each time that way we don't have to workout separately. The colors are vibrant and the weights fit perfectly on our 2" bar.

Pros
  • Increases gains and decreases the risk of plateaued progress
Cons
  • May not provide enough weight for muscle development

No downside to these fractional plates

These are great little fractional weights. I can now go all the way up in half pound increments, which is awesome. The finish on these is tough enough that it isn't coming off on my barbell sleeves, which I was a little concerned about when I first saw them. The little bag is handy. I can't imagine getting anything else. They're the same price as 2 inch washers from the hardware store, but these are color coded and more efficient to use. Worth it.

Pros
  • Ideal for both beginners and advanced weightlifters
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remember how to use with precision

Does what you'd hope.

Solid product with overall good value. 'Clink' a tiny bit on a my oly bar but nothing to be concerned about. Basic paint finish but for the money they're great.

Pros
  • Only off my .02 oz here and there but total weight is 5lbs
Cons
  • May not fit snugly on the barbell

Great Fractional Weights

I needed some fractional weights for a 5x5 program I was doing. They were the cheapest I could find, and work great. They came in plastic bags, separated by weight. Each weight is painted a different color, with the weight of each plate stamped into each one. The paint seems to be pretty thick, but it might chip off the inside. Nothing that would bother me though. They fit a 2" Olympic bar. Overall, very happy with my purchase of them.

Pros
  • Perfect for corrective exercises and muscle imbalances
Cons
  • May require additional safety measures when used with larger weight loads

No issues whatsoever. Great quality and price, well packaged.

I read a few reviews where the plates were scratched or did not fit a barbell properly, but I decided to take a chance anyways since I could return them. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Each plate was individually bagged and then they were all in a drawstring bag. Each plate fit my barbell and the plates were in excellent condition with no chipping or scratching. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Perfect for home gym setups
Cons
  • Too light for exercises that require a lot of stability or balance

Pretty but don't fit well.

These are nice to look at and accurate out of the box, but they don't all fit the barbell. It's not just uneven paint; I had to use a Dremel to remove significant amounts of metal to get them to slide smoothly. for my purposes, the resulting decrease (and slight inconsistency) in weight doesn't really matter, but it might for some people, and it was a PITA to have to modify them.

Pros
  • Helps increase strength and muscle endurance
Cons
  • May not provide a significant enough difference in weight increments
