Great product for solar and wind power

Bought to replace an old PWM controller. Performed several tests, starting with 1 panel at 100w and ending with 5 panels at 100w, which according to the documentation should not work. To my surprise, this charge controller is fantastic. The best place for this setup of mine with this controller is 3 panels of 100 watts each in series. This is also in line with the guidelines. Buy it.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

WHAT PICTURE on energy regulators

Got this controller. Install it in a REMOTE location (last 1/4 mile, 4-wheeler only) to power a remote security camera. Worked well for a short time. , kept blocking, closed everything. Had to go many times to manually reset it. After all, it doesn't even restart. I just threw it in the trash and replaced it with a device from another manufacturer. Everything has been fine for a few months. TRUMP CARD! money wasted! DO NOT BUY!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No machine

Excellent low current MPPT regulator

Very easy to connect, comes with a temperature sensor on the unit. From here you can use the solar battery up to 10A very efficiently. Tests at 12.2 VDC 10A over 12 AWG Solar load tests at 15 VDC. 10A over 12AWG with RJ845 connector (separate cable) that allows you to control the device with an application with real-time reports. This is for camping, buy a bigger one for home :)

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Works great in my C class motorhome

I installed this in my C class motorhome. can be charged in low light. I also ordered a Wi-Fi module so I can connect to my Samsung phone and check the charge/battery status while sitting by the fire. If I need another device or want to upgrade to a more powerful model, I will definitely find and buy the EPEVER brand. Small thing but the display has no backlight, this is done to save power, so it can be a bit difficult to see the display at times. I just keep a small flashlight nearby so I can…

True mppt not pwm for generators and portable power supplies

I actually haven't used this yet, after a lot of research, reading and watching videos, this is one of the real mppt solar chargers, there are many of them will even advertised as MPPT on Revain, read in the ad that it is not a true MPPT charge controller. Most of them are PWM which work but are not very efficient. You can usually find videos on YouTube. So if you want to try checking YouTube there are some great videos of these guys taking them apart and proving they aren't MPPT controllers…

would buy again the best in solar and wind energy

Has been working fine for over a year. featuring a 50-watt S panel versus a fixed 37* and a 90Ah lead-acid battery that powers three 7-watt LED headlights 6 hours a day and draws 1.7 amps. My Central IL 12v solar experiment for outdoor lighting. Attention is required only in December and January, when there are several cloudy days in a row or the panel is covered with snow for a couple of 3 days. If it happens. I connect a 2 amp charger to the battery to keep it from draining the battery below…

Beware if you have lithium batteries you should buy more stuff

I bought this particular one because it got high marks for lithium battery charging on several van websites and Revain's reviews were mostly good. The product name states that it is powered by lithium batteries. I think so, but not out of the box. There are 4 battery types to choose from: Sealed, Gel, Flooded and Custom. There is no type of lithium to choose from. I googled a bit and found that it needs to be set to the user's battery type in order for it to work with my lithium batteries BUT…

Nice MPPT controller, even better if you like tinkering.

Imported charge controllers are fantastic. It's highly customizable (pro tip: bring a USB programming cable. If you can find software for it, programming will be easier), and the MODBUS communications port begs for custom configuration. . Seems to have very efficient conversion efficiency. I opened it up and looked around the inside and was impressed with the quality of the PCB processing. Often the electronics imported from this part of the world contained rather poor build quality. This…

Outperforms PWM in generators and portable power supplies

After taking the time to explore multi-panel, multi-controller solar charging, try not to neglect this controller just because it has a small, non-backlit display Has. Always connect the battery to the controller first and then to the solar panel. I used this mppt to replace a good PWM controller. It's much better loaded. When it's dark outside the 12.7V battery is perfect, this is a marine battery. I haven't changed any settings, but I wanted to change the battery type to flooded instead of…
