DO NOT BUY! fits camera mounts and stabilizers

I've never had a product break on the first day of use. Never. However, this setup changed that. I was filming an exp - running and shooting quite a bit so I needed it - but literally in the first hour of use it broke in two! And these are pieces that cannot be put together. He just broke. Also, the screws are not that tight, so the installation itself is not very strong. The arms keep moving. I would still work with it and give it a few more stars but for such poor quality that breaks after an

Add this to your short film kit

Bought to film on location with a Canon 70D and works great. The product is not bulky, very light, really strong body and you can really take it anywhere. Also fits easily in a handbag, pocket or foil pouch. Blue handlebar grips make it easier to identify. It's very versatile and the image setup doesn't justify it because I think we found other ways to place and use the camera. I would add this to any film set or starter kit for those shooting on location. And the price is unbeatable. Folding…

Requires change or revision

2 parts failed within a few days of receiving the product. The camera mount screw came loose from the idler gear (not repairable - had to be replaced entirely with a spare mount) then the rear shoulder (or upper) arm pull rod broke in half rendering it unusable. The part is made of this air-injected plastic, and neither Gorilla Glue nor Super Glue can seal the crack. I'm fortunate to have found another DIYer at the local Home Depot helpdesk who is a modeler and has previously had problems with…

Great for the price

I make short films so I'm on a tight budget. This product works great but you get what you pay for. I needed something to steady my camera while walking or to get really weird angles for shots. And it absolutely does the job! I love how nicely it folds up and can become very compact when traveling. But when I first received it, there was a piece missing from the foam handle. Also, after two weeks of use, one of the screws came loose leaving me only halfway through the installation. I couldn't…

Ideal for beginners

To be honest I was very skeptical when I first heard about this product. How can something so cheap do so many different things and form so many different combinations? Since this rig costs more than half the price of other high-quality rigs, it had flags flying. I wouldn't go too far to say this is an amazing product because it is not. A big disadvantage is that it doesn't always last. In some positions the camera sags because my hands can't support the weight of my small DSLR. The second…

GREAT camera setup for LESS!

I received this item on time which was a big plus as I had to use it two days later and the original delivery dates were after my event. I love how flexible it is! I've seen several reviews of these spiders on YouTube (from other companies) and most say they don't have handles and that the handles are too much lost when you want to move them. Luckily this very rig has knobs that let you loosen and tighten the legs, which works really well by the way! Also, all the legs have buttons so you have…

Highly recommended for DSLR video!

I like this article very much. It's so easy to use and customize to your needs. I use it with my Canon t3i DSLR and it connects easily and allows me to stabilize shots and get angles that would otherwise be impossible/practical. I mainly use it as a shoulder rig, but it can also act as a bird's-eye view cage and in any other random configuration you can think of. It features 20-1/4 sockets that fit a standard tripod screw size, allowing you to connect a variety of external tools like an LED…

  • Slightly torn

This setup packs a punch! Most of these devices cost over $100, if not $200 or more. It's well built and holds my fairly heavy/old DSLR with ease. Everyone who sees me with it asks how much it cost and where I got it from. This is definitely one of my best Amazon finds of the year. I gave 4 stars because the puffs come off easily at the end. I replaced mine with locknuts. Since I do video and photo races, I need to switch this thing over real quick. From a shoulder mount to a single grip for…
