Ideal for documents especially legal sized, receipts, cards, checks etc anything that is not letter sized (it works great for letter too Format). This scanner creates very nice images or PDF files that are sized to fit the size of the document. My more expensive tablet doesn't (although it has other advantages). I use it every day at work and it's not too bad. Pros: It's small and easy to store on my desk. Easy enough to set up with instructions. Handy if you need to crawl a page here or there during the day. Disappointments: They only give you a damp cleaning cloth. Purchased primarily to scan receipts. Works great for the most part. By default, has a button to start a predefined scan. I only found two very small negatives: 1. The scanner assumes the paper is jammed if the check is too long. I had to scan some receipts in half (usually grocery store receipts).
