I wanted to switch to razor shaving so I bought this Equinox and a cheap Gold Dollar fixed blade to practice sharpening and sharpening the blade. Equinox is a very good product for the price. Bought this for my college age son for Christmas. He says the blades won't stay in! He sent me a video clip showing how easily they fall out. The blade holder feels tight on one end but too loose on the other to hold the blades in place. Bought for dermaplaning. I did this on myself for many years before it became a popular procedure. I usually buy blades from Sally right now, but they are more expensive. They are so inexpensive that I can use a new blade every time. Inserting the blade is very easy. I used it for the first time when it arrived quickly in the mail. I can't imagine having to buy another product for this purpose for a long time. I also use it to hem my fiancee's neck between haircuts. Definitely recommend.

Well, consider me the master of the razor world. Good thing I had a styptic pen handy to stop the bleeding. Barely touched one side of my face and given up. The main disadvantage of the razor itself is that its spine is disproportionate to the working part. This means that even with a proper grip, as shown in the photo and video, the weight on the back of the razor will cause the razor to rotate in your hand, changing the angle of the shave and the position of the blade.
