I am a mechanic and I use this sensor as a diagnostic tool. . . when I have doubts about the accuracy of the factory coolant temperature sensor. The adapters provided should be sufficient for many/most domestic motors as long as they have pipe threads.

It looks clean and fits well, pretty easy to install. CONS, it seems that reading requires a sweet time. It's accurate, it's slow to sense temperature change, once it starts running it keeps running, but after a cold start you have to wait a while. Another minus, the backlight is barely visible at night. What's more, it doesn't even light up. The top part shines brighter than the bottom even when reaching it. This is my 2nd and I had the same issues with the first one. I'll try an LED lightbulb
