DO NOT BUY THESE CABLES! These bungees are complete junk! When we first used them to attach the mattress, 2 of the 4 bungees broke. I've never seen anything like it! They weren't stretched excessively, they sagged a bit but still broke! At the slightest tension, the inner rubber bands ripped completely. Garbage! Do not buy!

They are great for storing things like kayaks or luggage in the back of a truck or on the roof. They are strong and durable and will not show signs of wear from heavy use. They're a bit heavy when you keep them in your camping backpack or bug bag, but they're worth the extra weight for the service they provide!

The hooks on either end of the elastic cord are too small to attach to the collapsible COSCO HAND CART I purchased with this one. I would have thought that with high performance bungee cords they would have put more emphasis on the hooks. Small hooks mean smaller things to get hooked on. Now I need to find some tools to extend this thing.

Unfortunately I waited about two months in the opening bag in which the bungee was packed. I used them for 30 foot ladders. At the end of the day they stretched and two burst. DRY ROT! Thank god I didn't kill anyone. This is my first negative post. I wouldn't even give one star, but in order to post, you must select a star.

This bungee was a disappointment. Visually they look like something of very good quality that I have used extensively over the years. We're roofers and we use bungee everywhere. Looks the same, but works. We find that after 2-3 months of use, they fall apart and lose all elasticity.

Used to strap on some patio chairs, works great. This is just the right length to go through the base of the chair and attach to the deck. I found a cool product that slides through deck boards so you can make an anchor ring which I then attached to. Our 3 year old can no longer put the sunbeds on the edge of the deck. This allows the adults to pull the chairs out with some effort, but for now it's safe to leave the toddler on the deck. They appear to be weathering well, but time will tell.

Good elastic cords are very hard to find. 65% junk and 30% only weak. It's 30%; They look strong, but it takes little effort to push them to the limit. For example, these Ericksons require 8# power to push them to the limit. This means the wind pulling on your tarp doesn't have to be very strong to maximize these bungees where they lose all effectiveness. A good bungee will withstand at least twice that force or more (20#), and a great bungee will withstand 32#+, which is 4 times the holding…

I bought these along with Kotap strings to support plants and vines in the garden. The kotap held up great, but they broke after just a few months. I mean the inner core was torn in several places and the cord was only held by the outer fabric cover. Not just one did it, but all broke in the same way. I can't imagine that would happen if, for example, I'm carrying a large load or maybe a motorcycle in the back of a truck and they break like that. Ouch. I cannot recommend these. I understand…
