Tool OK - better with some modifications

As others have pointed out, it slips a bit on the clamps. However, I have found that it can be modified with a triangular file to cut two grooves at 90 degrees to each other, creating a flat cross on the surface of a flat area. After that, the tool grips the clamps better than in the factory.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The only tool for ring clamps! ! !

This is what you really need for double split ring clamps. It snaps into place, holding and freeing your hands for easy hose removal. No more pinching your fingers with channel locking pliers.

  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Capacity

fits small clamps but not all angles

I have been in the appliance service industry for 47 years. I tried many tools, it's too small for big and heavy clamps. does not hold well at the end of the wire. better than some but still limited appeal. If you like lots of tools on one truck, this might be for you. Look at it. This is a limited market. I'm still watching

Pros
  • Pliers
Cons
  • Available in black only

For the price you get what you pay for.

Don't expect tight tolerances. You get what you pay for. I think I spoiled my real ViseGrip pliers, so the loose tolerances bother me. Crooked jaws can either help or hinder your situation; Since you are stuck at a certain angle when using it, your hands may be injured due to unfavorable angles. You must return the clamp to its original position when reusing the old hose. I think it would be better if they gave them a straight jaw? For the most part, they're great for most small wire clamps…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Out of fashion
