🌡️ Escali Advanced Digital Waterproof Meat Thermometer: Min/Max Recall, Navy Blue [1-Pack] Review

When switched on it reads -58.0F and stays that way. Measured a roast straight out of the oven at -23.0F. Clearly a defective device. Awaiting a response from Escali Customer Service. Updated my rating from one star to 5 Satars: Escali replaced my broken unit with no issues. Excellent customer service and the thermometer works great. Fast and accurate, easy to clean.

Right out of the box it was almost 10 degrees Fahrenheit higher. The temperature fluctuated 2 degrees in 1 minute. I keep my house at 69 degrees Fahrenheit. My cheap replacement Walmart thermometer is next to it in the photo for reference. Reading while high is not only frustrating but also unsafe. The screen is also not very legible. The window is too small for the size of the LCD digits.

We've had a few cheaper thermometers that quickly "go out of date" and spoil some good cuts of meat by registering the wrong temperature, so I finally got around to it. better, more expensive, easy to read from a name chefs know well. Escali make great digital scales and so far I am very happy with this product as well. It feels sturdier than the $10 food scale I've had before, and the lid is nicer too.

The battery compartment cover is leaking, water has entered the compartment. And that's why I bought it because it's waterproof, but it clearly isn't. I wanted one that I didn't have to hand wash
