Works great with wood splitting wedge

Love this hammer. I bought it to use with a riving knife and it did a great job. It worked better than the long handled 8 pound wedge I was using.

Good for working corners

We use them at work and so far this is our favorite hammer. Solid metal shaft for maximum FTW durability. I don't know why they even bothered to paint it blue - the paint will peel over time.

Estwing right? suitable for hammers

I don't know if I have a fake or not but there is nothing to suggest it is Estwing other than the decal and paint. The picture on the web showed the Estwing on the handle but the one I received didn't. Otherwise it's a hammer and it does what hammers do.

"My other rock hammer "

I study geology and I like smashing hard rocks with this thing. Don't get me wrong, the classic E-Wing 22 is great for medium use in softer rock, it's lighter too, but in a field full of volcanic formations or hard rock you just need something. stronger. Sometimes you get in that mood at the end of the day and feel like chopping haphazard facies off some brutally resilient quartzite, or smashing some basalt right into the olivine, and this thing is perfect for that.
