My first digital caliper looks good

This is my first set of calipers so I can't compare to others I've used other than the laser set. I used once several times at work. It came with two batteries, only one of which needed to be installed; All you had to do was loosen the screw with the screwdriver provided, remove the cover and lower the battery with the positive pole facing up. The indications revived immediately. One thing I've noticed is that it seems to be somewhere between 0.007 and 0.008 more than any given expected value…

Wait for version 2.0 (or a competitor)

Those are good calipers. The processing is slightly better than my Harbor Freight. The backlight is such an obvious feature that it amazes me that these are the only affordable calipers with thousands of nearly identical Revain calipers. This is what I was specifically looking for and I bought them because they have them. It's even beautiful - even the backlight and easy to read. Then why wait? Because it's bullshit. Prototype. Surprisingly solid set of calipers

Ordered this item in addition to the very reasonably priced Harbor Freight calipers I bought about 8 years ago. the cheap stuff I mentioned above. I inserted one of the two batteries that came with it and started measuring. All the values I get from it are within 0.01mm (or equal) of the values I get from the HF model.
