This adapter works as advertised and is amazing! My internet speed was 200Mbps but my laptop controller limited the speed to 100Mbps. With this adapter and my laptop's USB port, my laptop now runs at 200Mbps! I'm so happy! I almost feel like I have a new laptop! Thank you JAVONTEC for a great product! I received my Javontec USB C to Ethernet and 3 Port USB 3.0 Hub today. I immediately plugged in my laptop and it connected and activated all 3 USB ports with no issues. I tested the USB ports with a USB 3.0 stick and it was very quick and easy. No additional configuration was required. It was just plug and play. I also tested the ethernet adapter and it worked fine too. Again, no configuration is required. Thank you for the fast shipping and the smooth operation of the USB-C tool.

It works and looks great. It fits my laptop perfectly. Both are aluminum. My only problem is the disconnection. I have to disconnect and reconnect, after that everything works fine. Not sure why he does it. * UPDATE MAY 22, 2019 * It no longer supports always-on connection, making it unusable. $20 paperweight

We bought a new laptop with limited USB ports and no ethernet port. This adapter gave us everything we needed in a compact form factor. It's surprisingly well built, with a solid aluminum body and a thick but flexible fiber-wrapped cable. The only thing I want on these adapters is some sort of USB-C pass-through connector so I don't lose my only USB-C port on my computer to plug in the adapter, even if it's limiting my bandwidth this port.

The build quality of this hub is very good. The chassis feels solid metal and the cable feels stiff. The hub comes with a nice travel case and is nicely packaged. Unfortunately, this hub does not work smoothly with my mouse. The mouse is one of those wireless mice that has a small USB transponder. The mouse twitched intermittently when connected to a hub. Sometimes when I wake up the computer from sleep, the mouse freezes completely. I don't have these problems if I connect the USB transponder…

This is a really nice accessory for my HP Specter laptop which only has 1 USB port. I particularly like the optional Ethernet adapter plug, which is perfect for plug-and-play operation and allows me to connect directly to the router if the WiFi drops. The connection cable is very strong and the case protects it when dangling in my backpack. Would definitely recommend and may buy more to keep around the office and at home. It never hurts to have backups.
