I'm really disappointed with this particular product. I've bought at least 2 times and replaced it once it was 3 times in total. Only reason I gave 3 got stars my damaged product will be replaced i love this ethernet adapter but who would buy one every month its not worth the price :/ hopefully there will be a good version for long term use.

After reading so many positive reviews I unfortunately decided to try this device. The negative reviews I read only indicated that it was unreliable with the internet connection. Well we plugged it in and it caught fire. Then I noticed that my Apple USB cable wasn't charging my phone. I removed it from this unit and plugged it directly into an outlet. Without charging. He burst my apple string! I hope that's all he did!

You need to connect your iPad to an Ethernet network, that's your product. No special software is required to use it with my iPad Pro. Just plug it in and it will connect to the network. I've found that sometimes I have to plug in the adapter when I sign in for the iPad to recognize it. This is great if, for example, you can't use WiFi to connect to a network for security reasons, or you just don't want WiFi radio waves propagating around your home.

The first adapter I bought never worked. Based on the reviews on here I figured it was just bad luck. So I contacted Revain and asked for a replacement. Revane sent it to me within 24 hours (good job Revane). This second adapter worked fine for about a day. But now it randomly disconnects me from the internet.
