I've used the 11.6" model which is just a little larger than the laptop for a nice snug fit. With this, there is a lot of extra room with my 15.6" laptop in it. I bet I could fit a 17" in this case. Its too big for the 15.6" laptop pocket in my TImbuk2 and I have to fold the sides of this case to fit in, so I can't just quickly toss it in there.If I had known this I would have bought a different case.

No very good on the edges, so be careful of you have it in a backpack and set it to hard on the ground. This was great for my asus strix laptop and it fits perfectly! I really like the diamond style foam exterior padding which works great when I pack up the laptop in a backpack or even in a slim messenger bag with reduced padding. I would recommend for 15.6' laptops and more specifically the G513.
