Security: internal power supplies

The EVGA 1300 G+ raises the bar when it comes to purchasing an efficient, high-quality power supply. Quality wire with a thick outer jacket is essential for heavy-duty construction, and this device delivers on all fronts. The quality of the connector is also important for the power supply to the connection point. Every connection gives you a sense of security. TL; DR This is the ultimate device, EVGA will be my choice when it comes to powering my high performance builds.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • No automatic

Couldn't get it to work.

Won't turn on when connected to motherboard, tried different outlets, doesn't work, clicks, power turns on for a second and then off again. The fan turns on when the motherboard cable is connected to the tester that comes with the PSU, but doesn't work when connected to the mb. Reconnected my old Seasonic and it works great, I assume something is wrong with the MB main cable.

  • Special Offer

Lmao died after second launch lol

Worked on first launch. And after that, on the second boot, he really died with a distinct smell of electrical fire and smoke. Thank goodness it didn't kill my other components. Basically DOA. Returned. As an owner of evga products and other components this was very disappointing for me.

Pros
  • Good build

Works great, quiet best with internal PSUs

I've been using this PSU to power my workstation (Threadripper 3970X + RTX 3090) for the past 6 months with no problems. The fan is also pleasantly quiet. Safety notice for users of modular power supplies: Never mix modular cables from different power supplies - the pinout on the side of the power supply is not standardized and often different, which can lead to failures or damage.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Hard to tell

EVGA Supernova G+ internal best

I chose this power supply as the non-G+ model was sold out. Although this one was $10 less at the time of viewing and had many more reviews, I'm ultimately glad I chose this one. I think the main difference is that the G+ model is slightly shorter in overall length. The fact that this was G+ Prime was a big plus too, no pun intended. I received the power supply a few days after ordering and the installation was easy. I don't know how some people got a bad power supply or what happened when they

Immediately after installation, my computer was damaged for $3000.

I bought this as an upgrade for my Corsair RM750X when the Ampere Nvidia cards came out because I wanted extra stock to get a 3080 or 3090 when they go on sale. . I brought it home and it was missing 4 cables, I think it was 1 EPS connector, PCI-E connector, SATA and Molex. So I contacted EVGA and they sent me the cables I needed. It took me a couple of weeks to get these connectors, but then I swapped out the power supply on my computer and once I made sure all the cables were swapped andโ€ฆ
