I bought this as an upgrade for my Corsair RM750X when the Ampere Nvidia cards came out because I wanted extra stock to get a 3080 or 3090 when they go on sale. . I brought it home and it was missing 4 cables, I think it was 1 EPS connector, PCI-E connector, SATA and Molex. So I contacted EVGA and they sent me the cables I needed. It took me a couple of weeks to get these connectors, but then I swapped out the power supply on my computer and once I made sure all the cables were swapped and plugged into the right connectors, I turned the unit on and it made 3 loud clicks. Sounds. The lights on the motherboard would come on and then go off immediately after each click and then never come on again. I unplugged the power supply from the computer and installed my RM750X in the computer and it was dangling out of the case. I turned the computer back on and it stopped working. the computer showed no life. I called EVGA and had to speak to a supervisor to get a new replacement PSU and it was a Supernova 1300G2. The PSU destroyed my i9 9900k, gigabyte z390 aorus master, seagate firecuda 520 1tb (took my windows 10 pro key too) and 4tb hard drive with all my ten years worth of data (i was in the process of backing up xD) . I called EVGA and they said they wouldn't cover anything unless there was burn marks on the power supply or computer components. I sent the processor to Intel and they were able to replace it and confirmed it was PSU damage and Gigabyte had MOBO twice and destroyed the entire board and I didn't have it for 2 months. Seagate was kind enough to swap out the drive, but my WD Green failed and I was offered $2,000-$3,000 to recover 3.5TB of data. I was lucky that I was able to swap out the hard drive board, swap out the BIOS chip, and get all my data back, but I wouldn't recommend EVGA power supplies because damage to your computer's components isn't covered under warranty, customer Service. Agents are friendly but useless if their gear, whether new or eight years old, damages your gear. They told me the PSU passed their tests with flying colors, but they didn't let me see the testing methodology or the test results. They just told me that they hooked it up to a computer and tested it. Didn't say it was the same motley computer as mine or anything. Buy a Corsair PSU, my RM750X has been running for 5 years now! Well I replaced everything. just had to build a brand new computer so i could go to school xD
