Works, looks good together

Used this on a 2003 civilian car and worked great. The pulley is easily removed with a breaker. The product looks well made.

A little loose but still effective for crank removal.

Slightly loose but still effective for removing the crankshaft pulley bolt on an Odyssey '05. I had a breaker attached to it that rests against the side of the engine mount. The bolt was strong, but not as strong as the nut on the driver's side main drive axle.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Security

Works well. Fits a little loose

Worked fine on my 2005 Civic. However, it was quite loose on the pulley and fell out on its own, making handling difficult. Otherwise it worked great. Watch out for anyone who needs it, the crank bolt is tight as hell, I needed a 6ft pipe so keep that in mind.

Best price on the web and in town

Best price on the web and in town. It fits as expected and serves its purpose. The end of the 1/2" hammer drive was not deformed at all. I've seen a few on video that were barely square. This Honda bolt was so tight I had to do whatever it took to loosen it. With this socket there is at all no problems.I would buy this again.

Pros
  • Excellent compatibility
Cons
  • Nothing here

A must for timing belt work

I needed to replace the timing belt and water pump on my wife's 2012 Honda Pilot and the job couldn't have been done without this little tool and a great impact wrench. You can't get rid of the headache of keeping the crankshaft pulley in one place for such a small price. If I still have the car after 7 years, I will most likely use it again.

Pros
  • Specialty Tool
Cons
  • Out of date

Troubleshoot engine and engine parts

Does its job very well. It fits a little loosely in the harmonic balancer. To get enough room to mount it on my 1999 Civic EX, I had to remove the lower left engine mount. I could then lower the motor low enough to put the tool in place and raise it just enough so the tool wouldn't fall out when I used the 17mm socket - 3/4" drive extension - 3/ Insert 4" drive rod. These tools, along with that, were key to the job. The motor mount was ripped off anyway and was readily available locally, so I…

It felt like I had just won the World Series Solo

Couldn't beat the price and the tool came quicker than expected. Quality construction although a little loose in the crankshaft pulley. No big deal because once torque is applied it prevents the crankshaft from turning. Buying this tool is only half the battle. The first time I used it, three 1/2" impact socket extensions broke. Frustrated, I took the Honda to the local shop to remove the crankshaft bolt with an impact wrench. Didn't remove the bolt. Third try, I used a crankshaft tool, Brake…
