Just replaced my old lightbulb (original) with this one. Not sure if my old lightbulb is long overdue for replacing or if this one is much better, but it's bright and the colors are vibrant. Here (attached photo) you can see the RGB test where I did not color correct at all, with no modifications.

I have been using the original bulb for 2.5 years. I installed this when the colors started to fade a bit. I can say that this replacement had the same markings as the original lamp assembly. I don't know if this is an original assembly but this lamp works incredibly well. Colors and brightness are perfect. No complaints. Let's see how long this lasts. I highly recommend this lamp.

Very satisfied, the picture is as bright, colorful and clear as new. maybe even a little better? Installation couldn't be easier, you didn't even have to remove the projector from the ceiling mount to install it. Definitely recommend! *** UPDATE *** THE LIGHT WENT OUT JUST AFTER 2:44 PM. I STILL STILL WITH MY INITIAL RATING "GOOD PICTURE" BUT THE DURABILITY DOESN'T FEEL SUFFICIENT.

Installed a lamp on my optoma HD142X and within 30 minutes my projector was rapidly changing colors. After turning off it reset but returned after 30 minutes of use. Did a little research and found that there is a poor quality IR filter on the glass that caused the problem in the first place and can also fry the projector optics. I switched back to the standard bulb and the problem was gone. Do yourself a favor and avoid this lamp. I know it's cheaper but you may damage the projector if you use

Immediately after unpacking, I noticed a discrepancy. The new bulb lacked a crucial mount that kept the light from moving. Also, the vent to the fan was completely different, the glass was different, and the wire harness that the bulb plugs into didn't have orientation marks or cutouts, so it's a guess how to attach it. After finding it didn't work I tried every combination of lenses and harness alignments I could but only got a 2 second start and flicker. Will be returning this item.

So I bought this lightbulb about a year ago when I received a warning that the lightbulb had reached the end of its life. I didn't switch mainly because I didn't notice any difference in image quality. The light eventually started glowing on its own, with red lights on the display. So I open up my projector (a screw next to the small panel with the voided warranty sticker) and swap out the light. Bulb and body fit but glass filter lens doesn't. This startled the projector, which flickered and then shut down. I was able to swap out the filter glass for the old one and it worked. Do not touch the filter glass with your hands. Oil from your hands can cause an explosion. If you accidentally do this, use a microfiber cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Use only isopropyl alcohol. Clean and dry carefully. Make sure the isopropyl alcohol is completely dry before reassembly. There are videos
