Review on EWO's Replacement Lamp Bulb (BL-FU195C/BL-FU195A) with Housing for Optoma HD142X, HD27, S341, X341, W341, EH331, DH1009i, HD137X, HD140X, HD240Wi, HD26Bi, HD270, HD422X Projectors by Jeff Prabhu

Installed a lamp on my optoma HD142X and within 30 minutes my projector was rapidly changing colors. After turning off it reset but returned after 30 minutes of use. Did a little research and found that there is a poor quality IR filter on the glass that caused the problem in the first place and can also fry the projector optics. I switched back to the standard bulb and the problem was gone. Do yourself a favor and avoid this lamp. I know it's cheaper but you may damage the projector if you use it.
