I've been trying to get this thing to display video for months so I can focus and aim security cameras. whatever I do, it doesn't work. Viewers only seem to support Chinese cameras. I have a special camera and the video from it is not showing. Don't waste your money on this crap!

This thing has worked "well" for a while. It independently detects IP cameras from two manufacturers, automatically assigns a relative IP address, and then plays either via onvif or via its own protocol. However, as camera models evolved (even within a few months), both functions stopped working. It no longer finds its own cameras and doesn't display video even when I enter information manually. Purchased for multiple installations of 40+ ONVIF POE IP cameras with Blue Iris NVR software. It worked great! I read in the review that it doesn't output POE to the camera, but whoever wrote that doesn't know how to work with it (you have to disable the 12V output, which then turns on POE).
