Made of 304 stainless steel, welds to two concentric pipes of different diameters can form a tight seal against leaks. The adapter eliminates the gap and achieves a nice transition from 2.5" to 3". Unsatisfactory, magnetic and arrived with rust

I bought this item as it said it was made of 304 stainless steel This product is not only magnetic as the magnet easily sticks to it, but also arrived with some rust.
