Perfect combo of casual and SPD pedals

I have had these pedals for a few months, now, and they are great. The SPD side works perfectly, whereas the "flat" side allows me to ride my bike without cycling shoes or even barefoot. My previous "mixed" pedals had sharper metal edges, which wouldn't work with bare feet: not that I ride a lot with bare feet, but it is an option. The flat side also is "grippy" enough when used with shows. Smooth turning, too. Great value.

Pros
  • i like them. i have them on my favorite bike
Cons
  • Wish the assembly was a little more durable

A deal isn’t always good.

These are not necessarily an adult pedal. While they do work they are easily bent and chip along with being very small. While I do have a larger size foot (15u.s.) it is narrow, these only fit under the ball of my foot so the stability is lacking compared to other full size pedals. I have these on my Peleton which I ride 4 days a week and in the first few weeks in need of new ones. The chrome is already pealing off and the pieces have become very sharp. I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone who…

Pros
  • Great clip less pedals
Cons
  • The pedals were fine but one bent after 8 months

Not bad but arrived chipped and without installation tools

I like the style overall but it arrived with the outer chrome paint chipped. Also frustrating that it doesn't come with a tool to install it so had to buy that separately.

Pros
  • Love that you can use your clip shoes or flip the pedal and use regular shoes....
Cons
  • The dual platform can make it harder to find the cleats when clipping in

Substandard materials

Thereafter hook bent on the second ride, couldn't get locked back in. Substandard metal bends easily. Get actual Shimano spd pedals, they will last you a lifetime.

Pros
  • Excelente
Cons
  • The shoes studs get stuck in the pedal.

Problem with right pedal

These pedals seemed great out of the box, and the left one is still working well a few months in. However, the right pedal has always clicked and moves during every stroke. I’ve tightened every bolt and tightened the clamp on the cleat as much as possible, so it appears the issue is in the pedal itself, not the attachment to the cleat. Good price but disappointing quality.

Pros
  • Thanks,
Cons
  • The pedals can be difficult to clean due to the dual platform design

Get it together Best Buy.

I have no idea if the ZP-109S pedals are good. I have ordered them twice and returned them twice, because Best Buy, or the vendor, has sent me the ZP-110. A.) My shoes will not support the 3 bolt design of the ZP-110. B.) I wanted the ability to use them without shoes, if needed, and the ZP110 will not allow me to do that.

Pros
  • These pedals are made of high-quality materials ensuring an increased lifespan with minimum wear and tear, making them a great long-term investment
Cons
  • The pedals can be difficult to clip into when riding on a steep incline

Good Pedal - Not so good cleats

The pedals work perfectly. I had shimano pedals and can't see any difference except these are lighter and cheaper. The cleats on the other hand are not so good. They are not brand name shimano cleats although the description kind of indicates that. I kept having trouble with them failing to totally disengage from the pedal on this pedal as well as my shimano pedal. I put my old shimano cleats back on and the problem stopped. It wasn't a matter of adjusting the tightness on the pedals. They…

Pros
  • Pedals
Cons
  • The dual platform design can make it harder to keep your feet centered on the pedals

Great replacements for Peloton

Our Peloton came with clipless pedals, with a TINY platform on the other side of each pedal. Seriously, the "platform" was like 1" x 2". Not nearly large enough to ride with normal flat-soled shoes.I already had a pair of old Shimano SPD clipless shoes, so I went looking for something to use on the Peloton that would work with both the Shimano SPD system, and normal flat shoes.Installation took 2 minutes, half of which was me gathering the required tools from the garage. Plus, these came with…

Pros
  • Easy to install. A little loose on my shoe clips but I may just need to adjust them.
Cons
  • The Shimano SPD cleats can be difficult to clip in and out of

Not a good fit best in my review

These pedals are used for a bike I ride recreationally for exercise. When I get to pedaling hard, there is play between the cleat and pedal. I've tightened the pedal springs up as much as possible, but the cleats still clank around inside the pedals.

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • The Shimano SPD cleats can be difficult to align properly for optimal performance

Functional but several flaws

It works but here are some issues: - After only 4 days of use, the bearings are starting to wear out, flexing under load and making noise under load. - Much more difficult than my Shimano's to unclip even after set as loose as possible - Clipping in is harder than it should be.

Pros
  • Easy to Install
Cons
  • The pedals may not provide enough grip for riders with narrow feet

cannot tighten it with a regular wrench for installing pedals

I don't understand why it doesn't have the small flat surface to let me use the wrench to tighten it. the right pedal is hard to manually screw in and I tried everything to turn it.

Pros
  • Easy to put on and worked with my clipless shoes perfectly!
Cons
  • It has a bit too much float for me but I guess it’s worth its price point

I will be upgrading and giving it away!

The issue with this product is that the clip does not allow for a seamless clip in/clip out and adjusting the tension doesn't help!

Pros
  • Excellent quality!
Cons
  • El producto vale la pena pero luego de un par de usos se empieza a soltar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not for hard pedaling

For causal use these will work for you no problem. If you plan to stress them, go with another brand. Replaced them after less than 2 months. They are my backup in case i have an issue and need a temp set.

Pros
  • The ZERAY Sealed Clipless Mountain Bike Pedals have a sleek, stylish design that elevates the aesthetics of your bike, providing a perfect blend of style, performance, and strength
Cons
  • The pedals can be difficult to access for maintenance due to the dual platform design

Love these! - my new review

I recently got a spin bike for my house and wanted to try spin shoes! We bought these pedals and they are great! Fairly easy to install (if you have a handy hubby like me). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to use spin shoes on their home bike.

Pros
  • Easy to install, functional. Quality could be better
Cons
  • Could only clip out by turning foot to inside of pedal, could not clip out by turning foot to outside.

Too much float - my new review

Too much float when maximally tightened. Very loose allowing knees excessive side to side movement and causing joint pain. Switched back to my Shimano pedals and no issues. Definitely turned out to be a place to not try saving a few bucks.

Pros
  • These pedals are exactly as described and great quality. Was very pleased.
Cons
  • The pedals may not be suitable for riders with wide feet

Do Not Buy These! - my new review

Horrible. Damaged tread on right pedal. Now I can’t get the left one off my bike. Very cheaply made. Chrome peeling off and haven’t ridden yet. May have ruined my bike with these pedals

Pros
  • Had no problem clipping in and out of these. Better than expected or the money.
Cons
  • The extra weight of the dual platform design can affect your speed and performance

Feel cheap, released unexpectedly

Oddly require an 8 mm Allen to install, not 5 or 6 mm. Cheap feeling construction. Released unexpectedly during a sprint on my Peloton. Next time I'll go for real Shimano.

Pros
  • Very good
Cons
  • The Shimano SPD cleats can be difficult to set up correctly for different shoes

4th pair I've bought

I have bought four pairs of these pedals. Not an issue for me. I wanted to try something other than Shimano, and these pedals do the trick. I might order a 5th pair soon (we have 15 bicycles at home).

Pros
  • ‎Clipless
Cons
  • The pedal body may not be durable enough for aggressive trail riding

The petals appear to be high quality. They click in easily and hold well. The adjusting Allen screws were easy to use. The only problem that we have is that these do not work with a recumbent trike or recumbent bicycle. The user needs to put their shoe in the upper portion of the clamp, then click in the bottom part. You simply cannot do this from a reclined position. I will switch these for the ones on my bicycle. I’m sure they will work fine on it.

Pros
  • ‎9/16''
Cons
  • The pedals may not be suitable for riders with flat feet

Works great best in my review

A great padal well designed that engages and disengage shoes with reasonable force and hold the shoes in place very tight and secure.

Pros
  • Easy install and easy to clip in and unclip. Great value, also.
Cons
  • I would give a better review but without the screws for the cleat I literally cannot use the product.
