Works better than WiFi. until it dies

I took this to run a screen from an HDMI source across the room. It wasn't great, but it was the best option to install. The installation got stuck and I had to disconnect both ends and reset the source to get it working again. It was a nuance, but it worked well when it worked. It was until yesterday The transmitter is dead. Less than 3 months of use and it died. I do NOT recommend buying if you will be using it frequently.

  • this makes me mad

Devices worked as expected. I think the quality isn't as good as I thought it would be (the image was a bit grainy) but if you're looking for an inexpensive solution it works great. It worked for us using 150 feet of Category 5 cable to broadcast in the next room. Further information. I'm having trouble getting the product to work with my Comcast DVR. I called tech support and the tech said there are sometimes issues with ISPs and how they protect the HDMI output. I found the tech support to be

Don't waste your time and money!

Long story short I bought this for a wedding using a brand new 150ft Cat6 cable (200ft is listed in the product name and packaging). When the transmitter and receiver were finally connected (solid blue light), the video ran for about 15 minutes (during the test run). It stopped working when the ceremony started and then started flashing (the video itself, not the status light). I think it's partly my fault for putting too much faith in such a cheap device. A decent number of people say it works

100% worth! [Update after 3 years]

I've been wearing these shoes everyday for over 2 years now and I'm really impressed. For the price I expected them to break or stop working after a few months but they have proven to be reliable. In that time I've only had to use it twice. The receiver unit is located in a non-insulated room ranging from -10°F to 105°F depending on the time of year. I am using a 1080p source (satellite receiver) with an HDMI splitter to this HDMI ethernet box, 150ft CAT5e to a 720p TV receiver. UPDATE: I've…

Arrived ready for accessories and consumables

Unfortunately this does not work with multiple HDMI sources on multiple HDMI displays. I've tried category 6 cables and 2 different category 5e cables, all shorter than 100 feet. All 3 cables worked, I can connect them to other devices. This product took longer than expected to ship, which stunned me when it arrived and was not working. I ended up having to create a workaround for my event that wasn't optimal. If it worked it would be a very good solution for me. I don't know if this is due to…

Pros

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

This is a really good product and my first impression was very positive. I installed this in a communications closet about 25 feet from the TV. I am using an Xbox 360 which connects to a transmitter and connects to a receiver via Cat5. The receiver is then connected to my LG TV. This setup is really nice because it allows you to hide the wires. I wish there was a way to disable the indicator light once plugged in. The black band works well I thought :) After watching a few movies I noticed the…
