Works well! - Kitchen and Dining

Thanks to my 20# tank I may never have to buy CO2 again but how many frustrations has this combination completely eliminated.

Pros

Cons
  • No Automatic

It worked for about a month

It worked perfectly for about a month. That's all! Despite the fact that I bled and closed the main valve to avoid pressure in the trap, every connection started to leak. I hear CO2 escaping as soon as the valve opens. And I missed my return window.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Hard to say

I should have done this a long time ago. No more calling to find out who has "characteristic" 60L swappable tanks. I now have a 10 liter CO2 tank that I can fill up at my local homebrew shop, sporting goods store, welding shop, etc.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Protection

Save $$$ on small appliance parts and accessories

Reliable quality, works as described. Connect one end to your SodaStream (the connector has the same threads as the SodaStream cartridge) and the other end to your CO2 cartridge (5lb in my case). An additional regulator is not required as the pressure in the large tanks is the same as in the SodaStream tanks. I drilled and pierced through my counter so the CO2 tanks were hidden in my closet.

Has paid off!

Tired of swapping out $16 SodaStream canisters every two weeks (or longer if/when there was a shortage), my wife reminded me of a blog post she wrote about read a couple who found a set of hoses and adapters so their SodaStream could accommodate large CO2 tanks. I was hesitant to consider buying this as I thought it was a little pricey but the savings he gave me by allowing me to use larger tanks helped, not only that hose and adapter but also to pay for the tank! There were quality control…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • So so

Functional but not optimized

Features you think. I'm still a little skeptical about how long the Sodastream will last considering the tank is pressurized at 4,000psi. I didn't get a pressure gauge to measure what a regular bottle of Sodastream gives, but I don't think it's 4000psi (probably around 2-3000). The spring derailleur at the end of the Sodastream is very sticky and the spring is very difficult to depress. I'm not sure if the car has a problem with that or not, but the first injection releases less and less CO2…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
